Gerard J. (Jerry) Lynch, P.E., is the President and CEO of Sigma Design Company, a leading provider of design, engineering and manufacturing services for over 20 years. Jerry acquired the firm’s predecessor – a machine design firm founded in 1962 – in early 1999. Since then, he has transformed the company into a highly respected firm with annual revenues exceeding $4 million and nearly two dozen employees, working with global brands in industries such as Health and Life Sciences, Clean Technology, Energy, and Food Manufacturing.
An engineer for over 40 years, Jerry has always stood out for bringing business savvy to his role that has included new product development, detail designs, and technology acquisitions. He has developed a new product line, business and marketing plans, secured financing, and launched a new business unit that introduced new filtration products to market through new channels for the industrial division of a $200M corporation.
Jerry holds a Master’s Degree in Business Management with a focus in Product Marketing and Engineering Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from SUNY, The State University of New York. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in both New York and New Jersey. He has published numerous technical articles for the filtration industry and has been awarded numerous patents.
Mike joined Sigma Design Group in 2012 as Lead Mechanical Engineer, joining the company after interning while completing his Bachelor’s Degree. At Sigma, Mike has led projects to build machinery for industrial, medical, and military clients. He has designed electrical panels and programmed machinery controls.
In addition to Sigma, Mike worked for the U.S. Navy, performing ship board inspections and government oversight to repairs, construction, and training activities.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New Jersey and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Sarah joined Sigma Design Company in 2020 as Administrative Office Manager. She supports engineering and production by procuring the materials they will need and ensuring their timely arrival and availability to meet customer needs. She also supports sales by developing communications tools to strengthen engagement with existing and potential clients. During her time with Sigma, Sarah has also established purchasing and sales processes that contribute to the company’s productivity.
Sarah brings close to 30 years of award-winning sales track records to the company. Prior to joining Sigma, she worked for large multinational, mid-size and start-up companies and is experienced in sales management, administration, operations, and compliance.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce major in Accounting from the University of Santo Tomas.
